LPM will have its monthly SAC/PVO meeting on Monday January 13, 2025. The meeting is open to all stakeholders (parents, students, & community members). The meeting will take place in the media center and will start at 5:30 PM. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the meeting.
Attention LPM Dragon families:
Online applications for the SHS PreIB Programme are now available on the Sebring High School IB Programme webpage.
Preferred deadline is Feb 13. After that, students are accepted as long as there is room in the required courses.
Information Session will be January 21 at 7:15 P.M. at the SHS Smith Center.
Requirements for admission:
Criterion 1--Minimum GPA of 3.0 in 7th grade.
Criterion 2--Minimum of level 3 (on grade level) on 7th grade FAST P3 English Language Arts or an equivalent standardized test score
Criterion 3--Minimum of level 3 (on grade level) on last FAST P3 Math or Algebra 1 EOC or Geometry EOC or an equivalent standardized test
Completion of Algebra 1 before 9th grade is strongly recommended, but not required.
Criterion 4--Demonstration of on grade level academic writing ability in a writing sample.
Students who are below a level 3 in either math or ELA, may be reconsidered with passing 8th grade FAST P3 scores.

Attention Parents/Guardians: If your student is attending the Lock-in this afternoon (12/19) they are encouraged to stay for the basketball games. If you want to pick your child up after the lock-in, we will have students at the front office for pickup from 4:30 to 4:45 PM. The Girls Basketball game will begin at 4:30 PM and the Boys at approximately 5:45 PM. If your child is to be picked up during the games, please come to the gym to get your student. We are estimating that the games will end around 6:45 PM. Students will be at the front office starting at 6:45 PM when the boys game ends. It is 8th Grade recognition night so please come support our 8th graders!

$5.00 Admission includes the Lock-in and girls & boys basketball games. Girls game starts at 4:30 PM. Writst bands will be sold during lunches on Thursday.

24-25 Volleyball Tryout Information
• Physicals must be completed AND uploaded into Home Campus BEFORE attending
Tryouts
• Must have a 2.0 (or higher) GPA for Semester 1 to participate in tryouts.
Tryout Days: January 6-8 from 3:45-6:00
Tryouts are mandatory to be considered for the team.
Team will be selected on January 8
• Do not buy new gear until you have been selected for the team. Wear supportive athletic shoes.

3. Practices are mandatory
4. Practices are every day 3:45-5:30 unless we are out of school or have a match. Friday practices are announced on a week-to-week basis.
