Today, our amazing students and staff are showing their patriotic spirit by dressing in red, white, and blue for Patriot Day! It’s a special time to honor and remember the heroes of 9/11 and celebrate the strength and unity of our country.
Let’s take a moment to reflect on the values of bravery, kindness, and community that make our nation strong. Here are a few of our photos to show us our patriotic pride! 💙❤️🤍

Thank you Alesha from Bealls in South Sebring who stopped by to drop off school supply donations to our Patriot kiddos!

Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox Spirt Day at MES.
We loved seeing all students and staff dressed up to show their support. Also some classes had pancakes and fun activities for our first Early Release learning day. Here are just a few of the fun pictures and activities.

Join Rooms MES Families by 9/13 to have your child's name entered into a drawing for some prizes.
Download the SBHC app and join Rooms in the link at the bottom. Magic codes were sent home or you can also join using the primary phone number in their Skyward profile.
Please reach out to your child's teacher if you need help signing up.

As part of their unit learning about Aerospace and Flight, Memorial Elementary gifted students had the opportunity to learn all about KITES yesterday.
*They read the book "The Warlord's Kites: A Mathematical Adventure" by Virginia Walton Pilegard to learn about how kites were made and used in Ancient China.
*The students also developed their understanding about the science of kites, and the four forces working on objects in flight.
*Finally, the students then were able to go outside and explore the Law of Gravity (by trying to overcome it) and get their kites to fly.
Such fun learning for our MES Patriot Heroes!

Thank you Hobby Hill Design for donating flowers to our 4th grade students and teachers!!
The donation of the beautiful flowers provided students real life hands on learning of plant parts for their science lesson.
You are a true Memorial Patriot Hero!

Don't forget, our first Early Release is this Wednesday at 12:00pm!
Parent pickup starts at 12:00pm and bus students will be dropped off at stops 2 hours earlier.
Spirit Day: Dress up like Paul Bunyan (wear plaid) or his pal Babe the Blue Ox (wear all blue). Must still comply with dress code.
