Red Ribbon Week at Lake Placid Middle School is off to an incredible start, with the first three days seeing a large amount of participation from both students and staff. Centered on the theme "Healthy Choices Today โข A Brighter Tomorrow," students and staff have come together to promote drug-free living with daily dress-up themes.
The week kicked off on "Magic Monday," where students dressed in Disney gear to show that "The Most Magical You Can Be Is Drug Free!" Tuesday's "Hero Day", featured a special highlight, when staff members dressed up as principal Mr. Million, sporting big, fuzzy mustaches to remind everyone that principals are heroes too. The slogan was "Be a Hero and Stay Drug Free!" On Wednesday, the fun continued with "Western Wear," as students and staff pulled out their boots and hats to "Give Drugs the Boot!"

Lake Placid Middle School is ready to wrap up the week with two more events:
Throwback Thursday (Decades): Students will wear retro decades attire to show that "Drugs are never in style!"
Friday: The school will close out the campaign with students wearing Halloween-themed shirts or paying $5 to wear their Lock-in Halloween costumes to "Say BOO to Drugs!"
