Excitement is building as Lake Placid Middle School prepares to welcome incoming sixth-grade students and their families at this year's 6th Grade Only Open House! The special event will take place on Monday, August 3, from 5:00–6:00 p.m., giving future middle school students a chance to explore their new campus before the first day of school.
The evening kicks off with a welcome presentation at 5:00 p.m., where families will meet school leaders, learn about expectations for middle school, and hear about the many academic, athletic, and extracurricular opportunities available to students. After the presentation, families will have the opportunity to tour the school, meet teachers and staff, and become familiar with classrooms and important locations around campus.
To make the evening even more exciting, every family who attends can enter to win a brand-new backpack filled with school supplies—the perfect way to start the school year!
Moving to Lake Placid Middle school is a big milestone, and the Open House is designed to help students feel confident, connected, and ready for a successful year. Parents are encouraged to bring their future sixth graders for an evening of fun, information, and school spirit.
